Rehearsal at the Nakano Sun Concert Hall in Tokyo. Joban Hawaiian Spa & Resort Center's 40th Anniversary Celebration. 1963 Genoa Keawe performed for the Grand Opening for two weeks. She took her entourge of entertainers and hula dancers. In 2004 one of the producers of the Joban Center stopped by to see the show at the Marriott Waikiki. She enjoyed the show very much that she asked Genoa if she would go to Japan for her. Genoa asked for what purpose and she mentioned the 40th anniversary for the Joban Center. Mother then shared with her that she opened the Joban Center and was it's first Hawaiian entertainer in 1963. With shock this producer went back to the Joban Center and located historical photographs of the event with Genoa Keawe performing. On stage you see in the video are Gary Aiko, Pomaika'i Keawe Lyman, Momi Kahawaiola'a, Alan Akaka and Aunty Genoa Keawe.
