St. Emilian's Pilgrimage to Our Lady of Mariapoch Shrine in Burton, Ohio (August 23, 2009)

St. Emilian's hosted a pilgrimage to Our Lady of Mariapoch Shrine in Burton, Ohio, on August 23, 2009.

The day's events began with an Old Slavonic Divine Liturgy in mid-afternoon with parishioners from St. Emilian's in Brunswick, visiting guests, and local Byzantine Catholics.

An ad hoc meal was prepared and enjoyed by all immediately following the liturgy. Everyone also got to hear Fr. Marek sing them a song.

Finishing out the day's events, a group joined Sister Celeste in a tour of the women's monastery across the road from the shrine. Many were excited to hear of the new monastic community.
