Fuck me this is depressing stuff. In Norway they got rid of state funded religion this year, prior to that every person from the moment they started earning paid some tax to the state church. You should have heard the wailing when they cut them off. The minority that attend are vocal like everywhere else in the world and just as mental. But this shite is out of control and it will never be stopped by an American President because none of them have the balls to stand up to these fuckers.

What does religion provide you that someone who is not religious can't have? Co operation is an innate human trait. So is respect. You don't need an ancient book to teach you this stuff. And why would you place so much value on something written at a time when human beings had very little grasp of the world around them. They had no concept of a human cell, No concept of DNA, No concept of how the planets functioned.

You keep praying. I'll keep evolving.

What would you rather have? "In God we Trust" ??.

Or. "In Reason, Logic and Common sense..we trust"

You want to base your morality on an imaginary man in the sky? Or thought out, discussed and reasoned logical thought?

Science flies men to the moon. Religion flies them in to buildings. Don't pray in my school and I wont think in your church.

Mankind needs religion to help maintain "ORDER?.

I am sorry but i think that is a totally absurd statement. I would rather have a person base their morals on reason and common sense and logic than the belief of fairytale stories of Virgin births and people disappearing bodily in to the sky.

I think your statement is ridiculous. And is proof positive of some of the religious nuts in this world. Get rid of it. We'd all be better off.

Whether you like it or not, religion is a necessity for the human race. Nature doesn't give you anything you don't need. And, speaking from your view points as best I can, mankind for the most part needs religion to help maintain order. So many states and countries have based their laws on the morals found in the psyche of the human brain and religious texts. I wholeheartedly believe in The Bible, but, if I have children I would never force anything on them. It's their life to live. Not mine.

Didn't I say in that comment that I wasn't going to force anything on anyone? Didn't I imply (not state) that I won't support the things that you imply my religious leader does? You don't know me and you don't know my religious leaders. Why torture yourself with debates like this, anyway? I'm over this whole "debate" scene. All it does is anger people. If you'd like to have a discussion, fine. But don't come at me, guns blazing like you just did.

If your religious leader is calling for discrimination and abuse, then obviously he's a piece of sh.t and should disappear so as his ideas. The same people that go around proselytizing and forcing their religion on others should have gone through the apartheid as blacks, the inquisition as minorities so they understand the harm and suffering they are promoting. Freedom means you live your live and don't tell others how to live theirs.

There is no such thing as a Christian child. Only the child of Christian parents. There is no such thing as a Catholic child. Only the child of Catholic parents.

How dare any parent pollute their children by forcing a religious view point on them. They have as much right to discover their world and view point that you had.

When are human beings going to evolve beyond religion?. It is a human construct.

The monsters engaged in this abuse of children should have all their assets seized and be thrown in jail for the rest of their lives.

If only we could get our governments to actually crack down on them.
