What's up Home Skillets!

As I explained in my last video, pH is important in keeping hair moisturized. So here is the tutorial on how the make the KimmayTube Leave-In which is pH balanced for hair.

As stated in the video, please use the leave-in (base) that works best for YOUR hair.

QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE:

- Is it important to use a "leave-in" conditioner?
You know your hair better than anyone else, so my advice would be to use the cream moisturizer that works best for you hair.

- Why do I need to add aloe if it is already in the ingredients of my moisturizer?
Though aloe is listed it may not be enough to bring your pH to the 4.5 that we are looking for.

- Do I have to do this process to my moisturizer?
No you don't. There are many moisturizers that are already within the 4.5-5.5 pH. Use test strips to make sure.

- Could I use aloe gel instead of juice?
Yes, you can use aloe gel instead of juice and you do not have to use the brand that I am using. However you don't want to replace 100% aloe gel with a "styling gel that contains aloe in it"...it's not the same.

- There are many that do not seal in the moisture after appying this product, however sealing is like a habit for me so I continue to do so. Please do what is best for you.

- It is recommended that you refrigerate this product.

Where I Buy Ingredients:
- Aloe Vera about $8 @Vitamin Shoppe
- Castor Oil $7 @Vitamin Shoppe
- Jojoba Oil about $9 @Vitamin Shoppe

Special thanks to KimmayTube for doing her research and creating this mix.

  • So is the Lily of the Desert aloe vera gel(inner fillet) ok to use?

  • @shereejny1 Yes it is

  • hi love your vids!...Question could you subsitute jojoba oil for any other type of oil, like sweet almond or olive oil? would this work the same?

  • @Mzz87napptural Yes it will

  • I love this leave in! I make mine with Knot Today, Africa's Best Hair Oil, and Whole Leaf Aloe Vera Juice. I used to measure all the time, but now I modify it using less oil. I find that the aloe vera juice is key and anything else can be changed to fit your needs. I have to say that I can definitely feel a huge difference in my hair when using this.

  • @budgetbeautybella Yes, Aloe is the key for pH...the oils have different benefits to them.

Next week I will be doing a whole series on Jojoba oil, Coconut oil, and Grapessed oil...it is very interesting what all these oils do.

  • New subscriber! I'm really diggin

  • Hi, I stumbled across your channel and I must say that I LOVE it! So informative and enlightening at the same time. My question is where can I purchase the pH strips from? I made the leave in conditioner but only had black castor oil. What's the difference in the cold pressed castor oil & the black castor oil? I only made half of what you originally called for. Keep the videos coming.

  • Will Fruit Of The Earth Aloe Vera Juice work ?

  • I love your videos I just subscribed but I've been watching for a while. Your freaking awesome...lol and funny.

  • I've noticed if you are using Giovanni's leave-in conditioner, it is not necessary to add any aloe vera juice or gel; just the oils. The reason for this is because the second ingredient after water in the leave-in conditioner IS aloe vera juice.

  • great video...

Where do you buy the ph strips from?

    Thanks...

  • Where did you purchase the test strips??

  • Also how often can this leave in be used and I'm not sure if it was already asked but what would you recommend for a daily moisturizer? I am currently working with 3-6 inches of hair. Btw I love your channel and all of your vids MsV! :0)

  • I see that in another vid you use the kimmaytube leavin and seal with castor oil. Does it matter that you are using castor oin in the leave in and as a sealant?
