The albino ferret was selectively bred to be albino. The albino gene is a recessive allele so if an albino breeds with a polecat the chance of pink eyes is much reduced. We have 2 gills, one albino one butterscotch (very faint polecat markings on a cream body with the beady black eyes)

@MRartix1000 albino ferrets are actually the most common type, they were selectively bred domestically like that.

is that an albino ferret? because the person at the shelter where i got mine said that albino ferrets were rare but yet almost every ferret video ive seen had an albino ferret..not the mention that i have an albino one to

@MRartix1000 I believe the PURE White ones are... When we got Snoopy he had a bit of light brown color on his back but since he has shed his coat he is all white. So he is not PURE Albino but sure looks like it now... LoL!
