  • Been looking for this version. I remember listening to this on 8-track tape. Not sure if it's the original version (sounds like it). Who's the soloist on this? Phew! She's won't ease up off the gas pedal, she's gunning it - As a matter of fact the entire song is moving like a plane during takeoff. Love it!!!

  • Hallelujahhhh!!

  • My dad The Late Rev Arthur Johnson Jr and the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church Mass Choir would set the Morning Worship service on fire. I miss my dad. Oh my God he could preach and sing this song.. Called A preachers Preacher. Thank you Lord for my Dad.

  • @PeculiarPrayze This was made a long time ago. My mom and our choir used to sing this when I was little. I'm 30yrs. old now so that should tell you something.

  • This is dat official sunday clean up music!!

  • this is cosmo's original recording of it right here about 1980 or 81 but there were at least two other recordings of it by Rev Maceo woods and Christian Tabernacle choir! one was around 1974 and the other in the 70's as well! their min of music wrote the song Elder Jordan and it was really popular even then!

  • I believe you are correct. I listened to this when I was living in Chicago on "Purvis Spann the Blues Man's" all night show on WXOL. I remember the White Sox ad breaking in once right at the end. Might have been as early as '80. A great song and spiritually, it's right there! Thanks for posting, PeculiarPrayze!

  • God Is Good

  • This goes all the way back to the early eighties. I first heard this song while stationed at Bitburg Air Base in Germany 82-84. The gospel choir was doing this song. Then while stationed at Minot AFB, ND 84-88, I joined their gospel choir. This was the first song at our choir practice. Brings back memories. I could still see our choir director, Mary Spring, smiling at us while singing this during church service. Wish I could go back to that simplier time of my youth.

  • yes he can WORK IT OUT

  • @PeculiarPrayze hey this particular version was made in 1981, i believe! its on the "everything is alright" album

  • God bless us ALL. We are together in his praise and that's everything wrapped up under God's Will. Peace!

  • @PeculiarPrayze this song came out in the 80's i used to listen to this song in the living room with mamma

    this song brings back memories

  • OMG!!! It's been years since I've heard this song! I remember my mom cleaning and dusting the living room while this song blasted through her entertainment system...I was just a child singing along in the middle of the living room shouting what I thought the choir was saying "pork chop!" LOL....I really did until mama laughed and corrected me...she said "JESUS WILL WORK IT OUT, WORK IT OUT!" Halleluiah!!
