HCBTO chapter five [part two]

Parker: "Are you ready?"
Ian: "For what?"
Liane: "Parker has a surprise for Ria."
Me: "Okay what is it?!"
Parker: "Turn around."
I turned around and he put a necklace on me. It was his favorite guitar pick. I turned back around to look at Parker.
Parker: "Do you like it?"
Me: "I love it. Thank-you."
Parker: "Go with me to the big game Friday."
Imac: "My big game."
Anna: "Don't ruin the moment Imac."
Imac: "Look whos talking!"
Jordan: "Guys, shut up."
Me: "Of course I'd go with you."
The end of the day rolled around and it was time for soccer practice. Soccer was murdering today. I could barley breathe after all the fitness. We were all about die. I helped Kat clean up the field. We sat under a tree and I told her everything.
Kat: "You know I highly dissaprove of boys."
Me: "Kat."
Kat: "Listen to your heart, that all I can say."
Me: "It's not that easy."
Kat: "Is it? What do you love more, math or science?"
Me: "Math."
Kat: "What do you love more, texting or talking on the phone?"
Me: "Texting."
Kat: "Who do you love more, Parker or Nick?"
I was silent, I didn't know what to say.
Me: "See. You could choose what you like more out of those stuff because you listened to your heart, not because you people told you to love soccer more. Do that with Nick and Parker and you'll see."
Kat left me thinking about that. I walked over tp the beach. My usual thinking spot. The waves hitting rocks seemed to soothe my soul. The smell of the ocean breeze kept me calm. I had to open my heart to both Nick and Parker. I can't just shut out Nick the way I was doing. I was still lost, no idea what to do. I held Parker's necklace close to my heart. I layed down in the sand. Before I knew it I had fallen asleep. My phone started to go off, what.
Parker: "Hey Ria where are you?"
Me: "What?"
Parker: "Imac's big pump up dinner?"
Me: "Shit!"
Parker: "Where are you?! I'll pick you up okay."
Me: "No I need to go home and take a shower."
Me: : "Pick me up in 15 okay?"
Parker: "Okay, see you soon."
I ran home as fast as I could. I took a shower, put on semi-formal clothes, and make-up. I heard the doorbell ring and ran down the stairs. Parker gave me hug, "Hey are you okay?" I nodded my head and we headed to his dad's car. This was Imac's big 'pump up' dinner. He was the star basketball player and they're big game was this Friday. We decided to throw him a big dinner to calm him down. He is the best basketball player out there, really, and he gets so nervous. Hes the captain too, and he is going to lead our school to their first championship. It was semi-formal dinner at the old spaghetti factory. We actually got there on time. I set up the whole thing so I needed to confirm reservations when we got there. It was also a surprise to Imac. He thinks that its going to be dinner with his family. We were in the back where no one else was. Imac and walked in and his facial expresson was priceless.
Imac: "Oh my God..."
Pieper: "Are you excited!?"
Imac: "You threw this to pump me up?"
Me: "YES! Because we love you!"
Imac: "I think I have the bestest friends in the whole wide world."
Imac's mom: "Photo up!"
Makayla: "Okay, I am starving lets eat!"
We ate, laughed, and had a great time. One of those 'picture-perfect-moments.' As a matter of fact, Imac's mother caught an amazing moment on the camera. I don't exactly know why we were laughing but we were. And we were laughing really hard. But I think Imacs 'pump up' dinner was a night to remember. I myself was super pumped for the game on Friday! The girls were making shirts for Imac. Woah, can you believe this? My best friend, was going to make history! Well...for our school at least. Panther's are going to win, Imac will work his magic.
It was the big day! Everyone came to school dressed in Green. And Imac? Oh, he was totally calm. NOT! He was a complete reck, more nervous than ever. He was shaking the whole day. I was with the girls all day. While the boys tried to relax Imac. I don't think anything could. Parker pushed me back agaisnt my locker.
Parker: "What time should I pick you up?"
Me: "You mean what time should your dad pick me up?"
Parker: "Haha, yeah."
Me: "What time is most comfortable for you and your dad."
Parker: "Game is at six. How about 5:30? Imac got the seat hook up for all of us anyway, no need to be early."
Me: "How about 4:45, I wanna be there to wish him luck."
Parker: "Okay, 4:45 it is. See you at lunch."
He kissed me on the cheek and walked over to the rest of the guys.
