I know the 2nd tune as "Ryan's Polka"...but thats irish music for ya, lol same tune with many different names.

Oh! The first tune is by Flogging Molly right? At least, they used that as well for one of their songs, not sure if that's a general tune or specifically by them. I love it though!

It is called a bodhran, and is basically a frame drum, it can be played with a stick (tipper) or with the hand.
