9 year old boy catches a 22" albino rainbow trout using nothing but a net. I didn't think it could be done, but the boy was determined!

  • Correction noted- 'Palomino' Trout. As for the comment about cheating, the fish was released immediately afterward. No harm done. It's just one of those 'TRUE' fish stories with pictures to back it up.

  • lol nice! hope you guys released it! Thats a rare fish and a nice sized one at that. Must have been spawning to let him do that. Dont let a ranger see you do that, big trouble!

  • He was released right after a couple of nice still photos!

  • Initially I thought it was a cute video, great for the little guy to net a fish like that! But then I wondered if it is a good thing to net fish like that, doesn't seem sporting. And them after hearing it was released unharmed, I think it's great. What an exciting thing for a young kid, hope he becomes a wonderful fisherman someday!

  • whats his name? if its austin i think i know him if ihes like 14 now

  • here where i live it is forbitten to catch trout with net so, we us uor pants tay a knot and fish fish pants, and it is aloved for a time

  • What a bunch of sooking morons. Dickheads who call themselves "Anglers" or "Sports Fisherman" do WAY more damage to waterways than a kid with a net will ever do. We all know wadding through hip deep water in Galoshes isn't doing the eco system any damage PFFTT YEAH RIGHT!!!

It's people like that who forced the Australian Government to enforce FISHING LICENSES...So now because of them ANYONE in ANY location of Australia has to pay a fee before you can even cast a line. Nice going you Do-gooders

  • eso es ilegal!!!

  • goPlay............sorry, I don't fish ILLEGALLY every now and then.......being a father of two children -- I know teaching them right from wrong is important.......but guessing there are parents out there who don't feel the same-- that is why kids now a days have no repect for anyone or anything---also, retired waterways conservation officer for the PFBC.......and yes, if I would have seen it, I would have cited the father -- a true illegal fish story -- one for the photo album

  • @2bonthewater everyone fishes illegally now and then. you just have to shutup about it.

  • I'm all for taking kids fishing and teaching the ins and outs of the outdoors.....but this, is not acceptable.........I would venture a guess that whoever was filming is not an avid angler.....and If this was in Pennsylvania--- it is illegal to do what the kid did and the father would be cited for allowing it to happen........

a true fish story.....illegal and full of ignorance........I'm all for kids having fun....but this is quite absurd.......maybe try to catch the fish legally next time

  • Must have been a retarded trout to let a boy splash around right on top of it and attempt to net it several times and not swim away. Ohh, and by the way, thats illegal.

  • @pennsyltuckyjonesr

well why have it there if we cant eat it? and they bred that kind of trout so most likely they can breed some more.
