This update is only for Iphone 2g, Iphone 3g and Iphone 3gS. NO update is available for Ipod Touch Users at this time. This new 3.0.1 Firmware is for sms security

This update is exactly as 3.0 so unlocking your iphone's is still as easy as can be =)

If after Jailbreaking Iphone 3g or 3gS, you want to Unlock your Iphone 3g/3gS, here is the source you can add it in Cydia "repo666.ultrasn0w.com" Here 'o' in Ultrasnow is actually 'zero'. Then install 'Ultrasnow' from Cydia again. Finally shut off your Iphone and Put your Non-legit (T-mobile) sim in it and turn it back on, Wait for 2-3 minutes and finally you will see you T-mobile network on top left of Your Iphone 3g.

Iphone 2g would be using 3.9 and 4.6 bootloaders to unlock there Iphone 2g , you can get them here respectively http://www.megaupload.com/?d=U20UB2CK and http://www.megaupload.com/?d=X8U5285N

Please this is very important that when you open Redsnow you have to put in 3.0 firmware file and not 3.0.1 because Redsnow currently works only with this 3.0, and thats how you are going to jailbreak your Iphones running on 3.0.1 firmwares.

well first download redsnow then the firmware but u need mozilla to get the firmware cuz safari wont let u

I get mine put into DFU mode or whatever,

then it says to wait while while device is being jailbroken, waiting for reboot....

then nothing happens... i waited for a half hour last night and nothing happened... HELP PLEASE!

When I download the firmware file & extract it using winRAR it takes all the individual files out instead of giving me one .ipsw file. What am I doing wrong? & How can i change it?

Ok, what do I do it is stuck on waiting for reboot??? I have re-done this several times with the same result.
