2 Peter 3:9 ask this question - all who? all of you , the Beloved. If this verse meant all of mankind, which the grammatical structure and context prove otherwise, then it would have God failing to accomplish His desire. (Isaiah 46:8-11).
It would be the same as this...Coach is not slow in his promise to pick you up (the team ) but is patient not willing that any be left behind but for all to make it to the game. The any & all refer to the object noun -the team.
