Hello Sir/Ma'am , I would like to ask you something about the square button of the psp. Mine isn't working properly. (not working at all). I've watched several videos on how to open a faceplate and I did open it after watching how it's done. I've read that cleaning the inside of the psp will help restore the performance of the button but.. no luck. I would like to ask if changing the buttons (square, triangle, x, o) can help solve this problem. Thank You.
You also get this problem if you change or replace your PSP housing itself ,if so , just put your old PSP housing back, most of the customize housing that you buy is not exact on your psp(little tight) so your button is getting pressed from inside, hope this helps you

if you tried doing the way I showed you on the video and it did not work , you must do the the other option, the other option is replacing the button bar itself , goodluck let us hope this will fix your problem

I am sure this will work because that is the only way too trigger it, if you totally removed the home button (cable out of the motherboard), you have a problem on your motherboard, try loosening up all the screw on the metal frame that holds your LCD. and if you only remove the attachment of the home button bar form the metal frame but still plug on the motherboard try unplugging it and if this work means you have a defective home bar cable...replace it... post back the result
