    en 1963. un año antes,en1962,mexico llego por primera y unica vez a la gran final de copa davis,perdiendo en la final contra australia 0-5. como curiosidad, pancho contreras aquel comentarista de tenis de televisa de mucho tiempo,era integrante de ese equipo, junto con osuna,palafox y creo que el restante era Llamas.

    el pelon osuna fue el mejor mexicano rankeado numero 1 en tennis mundial lastima q murio alos 30 a nos en el accidente aereo mexico jamas a tenido otro fuera de serie como rafa q lo gano todo
