The Panpipes are very underused. When used in an orchestra setting it just sounds so beautiful.
Great Playing

I do still take it out and play every so often, but I don't work as a musician and I don't have as much time as I would like to play all the instruments I am interested in. But I will find the time, sometime. :)

You have to try the violin again, I'm sure you master it very soon! :)

Dear Kambibambiraptor. (what a handle!) About 10 years ago I downloaded a song on Christmas newsgroups . The album was Panpipe Christmas 2. I do not know the name of the song. I have been unable to find it anywhere using Google. Do you know of any place I can find that album online? I have made copies on two computers plus a CD copy. It is a very pleasant song. It is not any carol I know of. Thanks for your consideration

I'd love to be able to help you out, but I don't listen to much recorded music and I'm afraid I haven't heard of the album you mention. You might try asking another YouTuber - panflutejedi (*much easier to remember than Kamibambiraptor ;-) ), as he is much more active in the panflute community & maintains a web-page called the "Hall of Panflutists".
Hope that might help!

Glad you liked the music. :) I'm not sure why the panpipes are so little played; it could be the 'breath requirement' is part of it, another reason could be that it's harder to play pieces which change key, or which are highly chromatic on the panpipes. They are a unique sounding instrument; almost like a little pipe organ in a way. Or, as someone joked, if a clarinet and a xylophone had a baby.... ;)

I love panpipe!!

I do as well; it seems to offer a more direct emotional connection than the piano sometimes. I'm hoping the re-record this song (on the panpipe) later this month with better sound quality.
