(Contains spoilers about the film.) Moon Director Duncan Jones made a special guest appearance at the screening of Moon at the IFI (Irish FIlm Institute), Dublin on Saturday August 1st, 2009. Part 1 of 2 clips. In this clip he talks about the inspiration for the film and the philosophical question of what it would be like to meet yourself. "Everyone else in the world has to deal with you." - Interesting to think about what it's like for others to have to deal with us (as we don't/ cannot know first hand, from their perspective.)

At 2mins 50secs, he discusses showing the film to NASA (geek alert).

At 4mins 45secs, he discussed the parallels between the film and "2001: A Space Odyssey" including Gerty/ Hal etc.

At 7mins 10seconds, he discussed shooting at Sherperton Studios, the sets and the visual style references.

At 8mins, 45secs, he discussed what he felt that he learned most from making his first film.

At 9mins 40secs, he talked about his new project - continued in the 2nd part of this clip, click my video link to see the 2nd part: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HjJ2W5oOEQ8

  • I was sure that GERTY was going to turn out to be a bad guy when I first saw the film. Refreshing to see a film that's not too predictable.

    Thanks for uploading!
