@corsetaddict Just like the lass below exactly the same problem, i have used up 50 gramms of thread so far, lol, i must be doing somthing wrong, (whats new) it is driving me fruit loops, when i pull the shuttle thread it tightens the stiches and locks up, when i pull the tail thread it works!!!! i have had your lesson one on since 9.30 am, and it is almost 5pm, hubby even tried!! bless him, and no luck, i have tried loose stiches tight stiches, medium stiches, please advise me xxx

That's it! I give up! I've tried this more than six times over the past few days, at first the loops were too tight due to a little bit too much tension, then when I finally managed to pull the shuttle after 4 little loops and get the thread to bunch up, it just looked like one large, messy knot rather than the lovely little thing that comes at the end of your process. I've wasted a good few feet of thread after all these tries. :(

WOW I did it! with a piece of cardboard and sewing thread :D thanks! Although I had to watch it at least 50 times it's a little fast for someone who never tried it before

I did it!!! i couldn't figure out how to make the ring close with the shuttle thread but i figured it out!!!! Thank you so much for this video!!! it helped so much!!

As a visual learner, I was getting really frustrated with the *very-clear-as-mud* diagrams which didn't show me very much. Your videos have made this art form clear as crystal for me. Now I understand what the books were showing. Thanks so much for uploading. Don't know why I didn't think of YouTube sooner :) Now, what did I do with that shuttle? (lol)

Very clear and easy to understand! Thanks!

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!!! I was trying to do that from few days with no results ! Thank you again ! :)))))) Nothing was better that your video :)
Ok, not to worry. Try this. FIRST: Calm down! lol! You CAN do this. Have a cuppa, relax then go back to it. If you are getting knots you're pulling whey to hard and fast. Good in some crafts knot in this one! (Sorry couldn't resist a little pun!) SECOND: When you first start making stitches you want an even tension in your shuttle thread. If you make the stitches slowly they will form a stitch and not a knot..
Try this, good luck, anymore problems message me and we'll see what we can do

oh help! I can't get the ring to close if I pull the shuttle thread, but I can if I pull the loose thread I've been holding between thumb and index finger! what am I doing wrong?
Also- you're awesome! :)

@squirrelyo42 Lol @ Awesome! Thank you! It sound like you are making your stitches far too tight and therefore you are not able to pull you ring closed. Try not to make your stitches so tight. Hope this helps, let me know.xx

Sounds to me like your trying to hard. When I started I had the same problem. Deep breath nice cup of tea, (not too sweet for me ta). Ready? For now, don't worry about tension, lets just make the stitch, so follow the video but keep your thread loose. It sounds to me like you have a tight tension and therefore are making a knot, rather than a stitch. In a few weeks there will be some more videos. I have lealefts I can send you if you send message me a contact address. Good luck x x

Thank you ladies, I'm glad you enjoyed. I am in the process of making more videos I do hope to get them uploaded soon. I'm fine with anything craft wise, but computers leave me bewildered!
