@mugabesunny Yeah, I know Billy Idol's discography quite well and I can only say that I wish someone could bring 80's back in terms of music.....this is my usual nostalgic conclusion;)

At the time no one thought of this film as a concept and not many people understood what it meant. Now its such an ingrained part of our pop culture, we think of fighter pilots, volleyball, bromances, W and his mission accomplished stunt on the Lincoln, aviator sunglasses, bomber jackets and we don't have to go too far before thinking of Top Gun. Tom Cruise was only 23 when he shot this, in the interviews about this he looks even younger!

@RafKac Maybe. The reason Steve Stevens was on the other top gun track was because Harold Faltermeyer produced most of the tracks on Billy Idol's Whiplash Smile LP. Listen to Don't Need a Gun and several others for the distinctive Faltermeyer sound.
