Oops hey Sean, thanks for the reply. I grabbed the hd500 and have been trying to figure out the best way to connect. I'm running into the front of a tube combo. I've got anew mini Qtron, boss oc-2. Voodoo labs microvibe, OCD, zen drive, bb pre and rc booster, and an eh micro pog combined with a boss rt20 sharing a loop all in the gcx mounted under my pedal train pro board. I'm trying to eliminate the Qtron off the board as it's one huge pedal and I can get the pod hd to sound close. I just can

@DReid, I gather you have a Duende?
From memory:
Channel A (values out of a possible ten - there are no printed numbers):
Gain 4, Bass 8, Treble 4.5.
Pull Bright off
Output Eq - Hi 5, Lo 10
Channel B
Gain 5
Output masters both at 5, but the level is pulled down significantly with the volume pedal, as it's in the loop.
Hope that helps...

Sorry Captain - I replied to your switches question on the DT50 vid :-)
The switches are coil taps for each pickup, that's all.
This was my main guitar for years, but I have only recently rediscovered it - I did the tweed, but Lynn Wheelright in northern Utah put the awesome caramel lacquer on it, cut the guard and the grille cloth, and did the amazing leather binding. It weighs a ton, but it's an amazing instrument, that's for sure!

Hey @guitarguy - sorry for the late reply!
It sounds like you've already got the other infrastructure that you'd need to get a rig like this up and running, so I think you're ready for the plunge - the HD500 can easily address the GCX and still control its onboard effects. With the built-in expression pedal it's hard to beat. Let me know how it goes! :-)

Hey duder - not in this configuration. When I'm using a DT50 amp though, absolutely. When I'm running that amp, I'm completely mixing and matching preamp and power amp amp guts :-)

Only if you're running it like an analog board, like I was here.
If you're more of a patch kind of person, the point is that you can set up everything - the effects in the HD500, the functions on the amp, the hardware loops, etc - and recall it all with one foot switch. :-)
If I were doing a pop gig where I wasn't improvising at all, I'd only use patches and patch changes. For this gig I improvise the whole time, so I recall a patch to get a general starting palette, and go from there. :-)
