You are right the right song would be part.. but beleave me here in America ive spent alot of time in the music industry

It's the marketing that's gonna really set a artist up, there are a lot of American artist that are not so great but they are marketed & promoted In depth & that's what makes the most difference... :)

It surprises me that SM (her main label) known for being brilliant in marketing and branding failed BOA in the US. Is Asia and America really that different? People are still people at the end of the day. With all those money, they couldn't find good ppl to promote BOA in the US?

Agree. It's all about the brain behind these artists. SNSD are really not that great of artists but their style, music, choreography, similar looks, etc combined works! I think Boa just need to be given the right song for her voice and more publicity. America is not anti-Asians. We just like individuality and creativity.

No I cannot sing. Just have an interest for the entertainment industry.

CEO of SM?! BOA definitely has that "IT" factor that was destined to be famous. I'm just disappointed that she didn't quite made it in the US.

This was my first kpop song too. I remember when I was little I wanted to be just like BoA, well I still do. lols. Seriously I don't think I've seen such talented artist like her <3

@yume816 I study culture at university and yes although the world's taste are converging there are still major differences between Asia and America, most of which i'm sure you will be aware of. But in my opinion I feel that SNSD or any other band have been more successful than BoA is because SNSD entered America a few years after BoA and in that time more and more people in America, especially those of Asian decent were actively promoting Kpop/Jpop and making others aware of this type of music.

definately my favorite and first kpop song I heard from her .

she is such an inspiration . & even if SNSD beat her out in that category , she'll always be the favorite and no. 1 . Always , it doesn't matter .
