every time some body mentions that scene i cry :'( , it's like im loosing my best mate..and i feel genuinly sorry for the people who lost them.....So sad...X
Captain John is a brilliantly made character but I think in order for that character to come across as well as it does it takes a great actor (Enter) James Marsters...an actor I had never seen or heard of until the Kiss Kiss Bang Bang episode who I kept hoping would return sometime as he is a very amusing character.
But more then anything losing Owen and Tosh is what is heartbreaking about this episode. These people are absolutely some of the most brilliant actors I have ever seen.
It still absolutely shatters me to see Owen and Tosh dying so abruptly, with things between them bitersweetly unactualized. Ugh, my heart. *is crying all over again*
The ONLY bright side to them dying is that now maybe Ianto will get the screentime he deserves. He was horribly underused in the first two seasons -- and barely a blip on the screen in this Declassified series, which reduced his beautiful character arc with Jack into one line about a "romantic comedy with a pterodactyl" episode.
The song is 'Tonight' by Hard Fi. The album version has vocals as well, I'm not sure if it's possible to get it as an instrumental version as it is here. I love this song so much and I was really disappointed that they changed the music for the DVD release.
