This is a part of an hour long talk given at a National Science Teacher Association meeting. The talk discussed the use of history of science in science education, particularly how to use the history of science to help students better understand the nature of science (how science works). The discussion also highlights key nature of science ideas as well as the difference between scientific inquiry and the nature of science. The talk ends by discussing the vital role of the teacher. The teacher must take determined action to promote student learning.
