Made in God's Image

If the Human Image, equals God's Image,
and the Human Image, equals a Product of Evolution,
then God's Image, equals a Product of Evolution

This argument is very simple:

If we humans share God's image, and we evolved to become humans, then it seems that God must have evolved to become God.

However, there is much more to this than meets the eye.

Many argue that the phrase "Made in God's Image" means that we are spiritually in God's Image, not physically in God's image.

If this is true, then we would expect to all feel spiritually connected to God and each other, but it doesn't seem that this is the case. There are some that have spirituality, and there are others that have none. If spirituality is what connects us all to God, then we should all be expected to have spirituality.

Another element in the phrase "Made in God's Image" states that we humans are part of God. It simply means that we humans were made from God.

While I agree that it is more logical to say that, "if God exists, God is part of existence," I don't agree that we humans would necessarily be made from God.

I think that it is human nature to be self-centered and think that everything revolves around humankind.

We humans have seemingly always thought of ourselves as being the center of everything: First, the world was the earth and the moon. Then it was the geocentric system. Then it was the solar system. Then it was the Milkyway Galaxy. Then it was the universe. And now, it could very well be the multiverse, filled with multiple dimensions and universes.

But always, humans tried to put themselves at the center of it all. We are not.

We humans are insignificant specs in the grand cosmos. I think that if God exists, it's arrogant to think that we humans have a special connection to God.

We are not as important as we think we are.

  • @10brink I didn't use my voice because I didn't want my videos to be judged by performance; I want my ideas to be taken seriously, and in retrospect, it didn't help one bit.

  • spiritualy in God's image ... yep we are not connected to God and spiritualy we don't look like him because we are cut off from Him by sin ...we need God's Holy Spirit working IN us in order to become like him (i.e. it's a process) "for you are not in the flesh but in the spirit , if so be that the spirit of God dwell in you . " whoever does not have the spirit of God , he is none of His . ...the Holy spirit is given to a man after real repentance and proper baptism . so yea............

  • @Secretwow2 Thanks for sharing your beliefs. They are even more absurd than I thought...

  • @JustinTheAtheist well you assumed that the man is made in God's image = assumed the bible has real authority (it has but it's a long subject) ...so "assuming" the bible is right then ye that's my belief xD

  • @Secretwow2 That's funny. I made these videos to voice my opinions of the subjects being forced upon me by christian youtubers (and pretty much christians in general - that feel the need to "save" me from my own self inquiry).

Again, believe what you want, but try not to take the rest of us down with you.

  • @JustinTheAtheist Well lets finish that vesre. In Genesis 1: 26 we are made in his image according to or after his LIKENESS. We are like god as in we are intelligent. Intelligent = having good understanding or a high mental capacity; quick to comprehend etc. We are not made according to his kind as it said with all other creations. We are "like" God. There is a big difference. (most of us don't follow the theory of evolution also.)

  • @DecentExposureMedia "(most of us don't follow the theory of evolution also.)"

It's okay. That's just yet another incorrect belief that you feel the need to tell everyone. We understand, and we're here for you, if you ever decide to break away from misguided religious dogmas.

    Have a nice day!

  • i think we are the

    3 - Dimensional image of a 4 - Dimensional god.

    lol, i dunno.

...like that video with carl sagan and the tesserect.

  • Y U NO Use your own voice?

  • @JustinTheAtheist "Have a nice day!" ooooohhhhhWhat?!!! Anyway, I accept evolution, I debate the theory. Not a big deal...

  • @JustinTheAtheist that goes for you too ...wait does it ? ...hmm ...yep it does

  • If we were made in gods image, why aren't we invisible?

  • well thats irony for you, a man who has worked with the likes of Bohm, Feynman, Hawkings and Penrose is now suggesting that we are 3d holographic images projected from a 2d god( 10^123BITS(max.info) existing on our future/cosmological horizon. Sarfatti also claims that our future horizon has a singularity attached to it just like our past particle horizon(big bang), tongue in cheek he refers to them as the alpha and the omega. It seems retrocausality is on its way back, from the future.
