House Calls - Choosing the Hair Loss Solution That's Right For You

There are many choices when addressing your hair loss. How do you know which one is right for you? Well first, you should determine what your goals are.

At Hair Club Medical Group we offer all proven solutions for hair loss. The first treatment option available is a non surgical one, which uses Finesteride and or Minoxidil as well as a laser comb. This treatment is suggested if your goal is focused on maintaining your current level of hair loss or if you may not yet be a candidate for a surgical procedure.

However, for most people, a permanent surgical option is the preferred choice.

There are two leading types of surgical hair loss procedures, Follicular Unit Transplantation and Follicular Unit Extraction commonly know as FUT and FUE. Both are acceptable techniques for harvesting donor grafts.

Lets talk about FUE. When performing an FUE procedure we create a circular incision around follicular units, leaving minute scars that are virtually undetectable.
So, FUE may be a better solution if your goal is to wear your hair short. It is also a viable option for patients with a very tight scalp or when a large donor area is not available.

Now, what about FUT? Follicular Unit Transplantation is THE standard which has been proven for decades. It is the most cost effective and allows for patients whose goal is to have a surgical procedure that yields the largest number of grafts. This is especially useful for patients with excessive or long-term hair loss.
