Towrds the end it became quite clear the Western was going to lose. Some small group in the stands came up with this clever little ditty: "That's alright; that's okay; we're going to own your farm one day". Eventually every Western fan joined in. This led to fights with campus security coming and the London police. Next season there was a game at Guelph. A bunch of us went. The dickweeds from Guelph soaked toilet paper rolls and threw them at us. More fights! and that is how it all began. Dinks!

I was a student at Western from 78 to 83 (BMus.82, BEd. 83). For any of you who have wondered why Guelph is the enemy, I was there when it all started. It began at a football game. It was for one of the championships...Yates Cup maybe. the game was at Western's J.W. Little stadium against Guelph. In those days the stands would be packed. )see next comment)

y'all taking this way too seriously. it's a joke that turned into a song that turned into a viral youtube video. i go to uwo and although i don't completely adore this song like most of you do, i got over it, its just a joke. and where are all these Guelph jokers coming from? whats this huge rivalry you speak of? its really just Western VS Queens, i don't think many of us hear really care about you guys...

Ok, I go to Queen's and I like this song. It's funny to me how there's only one line about Guelph in here and Guelph went ballistic writing an entire song about Western. A classic case of overreaction rooted in their insecurity.
