    I'm old enough to have known all versions of this song as they were released - there is no greater Cocker fan than I. The guy is legend, and still doing it after some other so-called "Kings' have left the throne. This is not only the defining live performance of the event, but of an entire generation, and possibly ever, and I think these captions are hilarious. The song has nothing to do with Viet Nam.

    I really respect Joe Cocker and love to watch his performance. I have to just listen and not watch because the comedy routine is too distracting for me.

    I ran across this some years back. I don't watch it often; only when I need a quick pick-me-up. The guys who put this together were, and probably still are, some of the funniest guys that haven't gotten a TV show.
