The construction and firing of a good old fashion honkynut bomb, sometimes called a cherry bomb. 50 gr (roughly 2-3 grams) of black powder, some firework fuse, some wadding (tissue) and some hot melt glue.

  • how much does a box of cherry bombs cost

  • Depends what country you want to get them from. In many countries you can't buy them, in some countries you can get a pack of 16 for somewhere in the region of $5.

  • I wouldnt use hotglue to seal the top like that. I doubt it would ignite the powder but on the safe side use something else.

  • A better alternative is a resin glue like Araldite, but I didnt have any at the time. Hot glue isn't so much of a problem with the heat because of the layer of tissue in there. I would not recommend putting hot glue straight onto any pyrotechnic composition.

  • hey great vid but where did u get your fuse from? 5/5

  • The fuse is from a store in Adelaide SA that sells cannon supplies, I can't remember the name. If you want some, you will probably have to go through a licensed firearms dealer.

  • HAHAHA! "cherry bomb?" First of all, that was black powder, cherry bombs are made of flash powder. If you'd had as much flash powder as you did black, the camera would have been damaged. Better luck next time.
