This happened in Titusville, Fl. on Aug. 21, 2010
The girl and Grandfather was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries but are expected to make full recoveries.

The crap some people come up with regarding a pit bulls bite is ridiculous. They are dogs like any other dog. All types of dogs were created for many jobs hunting, bringing down prey, protecting, attacking. There are 31 deaths in the US by all types of dogs in one year and even nonfatal dog bites are rare There are millions of dogs in the US including the pit bulls and 300 million people Proof that dogs are amazing in the right hands You have a better chance of getting struck by lightening

@datura1983 I have. I've researched them extensively, actually. I'm a vet tech and took a side class on bully breed history and anatomy. The whole Pit Bull "locking jaw" thing is a myth. A bully's jaw is built just like any other dogs...

I've worked for animal control and vet clinics for 8 years, working mainly with bully breeds. I've only been bitten ONCE by a bully and it was MY fault. And yeah, it let go instantly. @stinkmeaner99 Uhhh no. Pit Bull's were originally bred in the late 1800's as herding and family dogs. Getcha facts straight before you blow off about an awesome American breed. Pit's are TERRIERS, for fucks sake. Any dog is "bred to kill" because they're carnivores. Pit's actually didn't become fighting dogs until the late 50's...your ignorance is astonishing :)

@LtCaradine Where do you get that from? If you actually watched the video, it clearly said he was half Lab. Are they shit dogs too? Probably not. I've worked with dogs for 8 years now with animal control and in vet clinics. I've always been drawn to bullies because that's what I was raised around. You know how many bull breeds have bitten me in the last 8 years? One. You know how many Labs? 9...Are Labs shit dogs? No. Are people shitty? Yes. You, sir, obviously know nothing about dogs...
