Mount Rushmore

Kids read about Mount Rushmore National Monument in school books, but to really appreciate this memorial to Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln and Roosevelt, a family must visit the Black Hills of South Dakota. Everyone will enjoy the park ranger presentations and the museum, and kids will have fun completing Junior Ranger activities and the nightly lighting of the monument. The visitors center at Mount Rushmore Memorial teaches visitors about the contributions of these four presidents to American history. It's definitely worth the trip. A must see in the US - and we found that South Dakota has a lot to offer. Come spend some time there.

I went to the United States on holiday in October of 2011, and one of the places my group and I visited was Mount Rushmore. Pictures don't do it justice -- actually being there and seeing it with my own eyes was incredible.

definately on my "to see " list in the states, having been to hawaii and seen the Arizona memorial aswell as punchbowl memorial, i am commited to comming back to america and going stateside
