Not every production has the budget for a Steadicam or dolly shots, yet every shoot deserves Hollywood-ready camera motion. With your skill, an HD camera and new Stabilizer from NewBlue, you can transform handheld camera work into smooth tracking shots.

In this edition of Tips & Techniques, Todor Fay shows how to use NewBlue Stabilizer to clean up shaky sequences and make them look like they were shot on a Hollywood stage.

  • No Analyze button in Trial version on Premeire Elements 9. :(

  • @studio6420 Stabilizer doesn't include an Analyze button when used in Premiere. The analysis should be performed automatically when you play back your video. After applying Stabilizer, try playing back your video one time to let Stabilizer analyze all the footage.

  • i installed it but whenever i go to activate it (in version 8.0 of vegas), i get nothing on the screen for it. And I installed the right version.... so that makes no sense

  • @TheMachinimanator Could you please open a help ticket? Just go to our website, click on Support and then "Help Ticket System"

  • I'm using Premiere CS4 on Win7 64bit. It analyses with the blue grid, but when play is hit in the settings window, shows no reduction in shake. It also interferes with Premier's auto-save function and freezes the app.

  • can you please go to the NewBlueFX site and register and fill out a ticket so we can resolve ? Thanks!

PS I might be in the market for one of those garage door openers!

  • A camera stabilizer is a definite must for moving shots. I've been using the Cam Caddie SCorpion which is very effective and inexpensive. Look into one.

  • Maybe we could give this product to most film and tv directors out there today who think it's so darn clever to shake and jiggle the camera. Makes me dizzy.

  • Hi I just bought this product, but I have sony vegas studio 10 hd platinum and I notice on the tutorial you're using sony vegas pro and it's a little different, I don't have an analysis option to click, Do you have a tutorial on how to use the stabilizer with the sony vegas studio version? Thanks.

  • Well I'm trying the trial. It just locks up premiere when I try to use it. So sad. It looked to have so much potential.

  • @newbluefx ok it worked but i entered it in and it said something about registration and i put do that later, so a week goes by and its expired, even the serial, so i probably will have to open up a ticket or but another one. eh

  • Thank You.
