LA Occupiers Property Destroyed By Tax Funded Workers

Yesterday, LAPD Commander Andrew Smith told members of the public (with numerous cameras surrounding him) that people's property would not be destroyed during the raid of Occupy LA. That the property would be catalogued with a detailed description and stored by LAPD. This way, the property's owner would be able to retrieve their belongings.

More important, during this recorded conversation with members of the public and the media, Commander Smith was asked specifically what if someone was arrested not in the vicinity of their tent/property. For instance, on the other side of City Hall. Commander Smith responded by saying that the tent would be booked and catalogued with a physical description and that the owner would be able to retrieve their property by describing it to LAPD.

However, based on this video, what Commander Smith said is arguably not true. I personally witnessed over ten tents being destroyed by government workers. Which, creates credibility issues Commander Smith and LAPD. This kind of deception also fosters contempt and mistrust for police.

It would be interesting to find out whether or not Commander Smith was lying the whole time he was speaking to the public, or if other higher ranking members of LAPD turned him into a lying fool?

You wanted them to catalog garbage?? Give us a break. The "occupy" crowd should be grateful for a weak mayor (Tony Vallar) who allowed you to wallow in your own filth for way longer than you had any right to, and for a city who is picking up the tab to clean the filth you left behind. Thanks for this video, it gives us all ample proof of the true nature of the occupiers and the utter disregard for anything other than their own sense of self importance.
