The Yamaha CP5 digital stage piano has amazing grand piano sounds. Coupled with my Yamaha SY77 keyboard, I recorded David Foster's "Winter Games" with a USB MIDI connection to Cubase AI 5 and mastered the audio with Adobe Audition 2.0. The video was filmed with an iPad2 and edited together using Adobe Premiere Pro 2.

Paul, I have not compared the CP5 to the Clavinovas. To me, the CP5 is a higer-end keyboard. I absolutely love the sounds the CP5 makes. I connected the CP5 to a laptop via a USB cable. Probably any software you have on the Mac that will record MIDI through the USB port will be able to capture your performance. The CP5 also has the ability to record your performance to a USB memory stick as a standard WAV file.

Thanks for your kind comments and best wishes!
