The video opens with the Locos being prepared On Shed and part 4 closes with their disposal at the end of the day, in between all engines are seen at various locations. There were four locomotives in service: -
SECR P Class 0-6-0T No.178
LBSCR / SR E4 0-6-2T No.B473
SECR C Class 0-6-0 No.592
GWR 32XX Class 4-4-0 Dukedog No. 9017 'Earl of Berkley'
LBSCR A1X 0-6-0T No.55 'Stepney' on Brake Van rides at Horsted Keynes down part of the Ardingly line.
Also in steam, following an extensive overhaul at Sheffield Park workshop:
SECR P Class 0-6-0T No.323 'Bluebell'.
Plus Dorking Greystone Lime Company, No.3 "Captain Baxter" 0-4-0T built 1877, which was running through Sheffield Park Station between service train departures.
The first train of the day, leaving Sheffield Park at 10.00, was made up from pre-grouping coaches plus some goods wagons to make up a mixed train from post 1923 vintage.
