I sang this insert of the Annen Polka as part of my role Pepi from Wiener Blut. I also sang in Night in Venice and we did not have this song in that operetta.

Lustig! Eine kleine beschwipste Tirolerin!

Johann Strauss II ( A night in Venice) has gone through many revisions, the version you remember may not be the same. Barbara can deliver any version with her wonderful voice.

Lind. You got it. That is Barbara's true quality.

Wow. Her voice is clear as a diamond.
Are you sure this is from Night in Venice???? I sang it myself dont remember this song!! could be I am mistaken.

Perhaps you used a different version of the score. The Schwipslied is really an insertion aria re-arrangement from the Annen Polka.

A cute and fun video, Smorgy! Thanks for this. I wish Barbara Bonney would come back to the stage soon! She's very much at ease singing in German, no?

Hiya Marian! ;o) Me, too, matie. Yup, she is very fluent in German (studied at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, I think). The gal is quite a wonderful linguist and even sings beautiful Swedish! :o) Thanks for stopping by and hope the holidays are going well out east! :o)
