I sang this insert of the Annen Polka as part of my role Pepi from Wiener Blut. I also sang in Night in Venice and we did not have this song in that operetta.

So etwas mehr klares wuerde Sie vielleicht besser gefallen haben: Corinne Stevens sings Schwipslied by J Strauss. Mir nicht. Sagen wir es so: Frau Bonney ist leicht geschwipst...oder: wenn Frau Bonney geschwipst ist, behimmt sie sich trotzdem brav (jeder reagiert anders zu Alkohol)...

Perhaps you used a different version of the score. The Schwipslied is really an insertion aria re-arrangement from the Annen Polka.

A cute and fun video, Smorgy! Thanks for this. I wish Barbara Bonney would come back to the stage soon! She's very much at ease singing in German, no?

Hiya Marian! ;o) Me, too, matie. Yup, she is very fluent in German (studied at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, I think). The gal is quite a wonderful linguist and even sings beautiful Swedish! :o) Thanks for stopping by and hope the holidays are going well out east! :o)
