  • Are you sure this is from Night in Venice???? I sang it myself dont remember this song!! could be I am mistaken.

  • Perhaps you used a different version of the score. The Schwipslied is really an insertion aria re-arrangement from the Annen Polka.

  • A cute and fun video, Smorgy! Thanks for this. I wish Barbara Bonney would come back to the stage soon! She's very much at ease singing in German, no?

  • Hiya Marian! ;o) Me, too, matie. Yup, she is very fluent in German (studied at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, I think). The gal is quite a wonderful linguist and even sings beautiful Swedish! :o) Thanks for stopping by and hope the holidays are going well out east! :o)

  • I sang this insert of the Annen Polka as part of my role Pepi from Wiener Blut. I also sang in Night in Venice and we did not have this song in that operetta.

  • Lustig! Eine kleine beschwipste Tirolerin!

  • soo funny xD xD

    thanks for posting!!

  • boooring !!!

  • Johann Strauss II ( A night in Venice) has gone through many revisions, the version you remember may not be the same. Barbara can deliver any version with her wonderful voice.

  • Lind. You got it. That is Barbara's true quality.

  • Wow. Her voice is clear as a diamond.
