Well, they way you paint God and life, i wouldn't want to live forever either. Fortunately you are wrong. "The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God." There is no worst bias than an intellectual bias which says there is no God. you can never prove that God does not exist, therefore you are the worst kind of scientist by saying that He doesn't exist. Prove it!
And why do you follow morals when they serve no purpose? If we are evolved, then there is no justice.

@hmghosthost He sacrificed himself to himself to save us from Him, that makes sense to you? I have not just picked a few random samples, I have read all of the New Testament, and about 70 percent of the Old testament. I used to be a christian before I read it but now I think that the whole concept of an invisible all powerful being existing just seems very silly. We get so brainwashed that we will say anything to defend it. But once you undo it you can't believe you ever believed such silliness

Your morals are subjective because you observe only those which are convenient for you at any given time. But you forget that those same morals of goodness that you speak of came from God in the first place. You didn't invent them. There is nothing good in man's nature. Man does nothing but hate and harm and destroy. God created good things, blesses those who trust Him, and shows mercy over and over again to those who do not deserve it - which is all of us.

I don't believe in the god you described either because it is an idol you've created in your own head by plucking random verses out of Scripture to construct a monster which you then say doesn't exist. The image you've created is of a god of evil. I don't know that god. My God loved me so much that He sacrificed Himself to save me from the doom which man alone is responsible for causing. Believe what you want; I know what I've experienced and you can't take that away.

@hmghosthost By the way you have been brain washed, you as I once was, you can undo it but you have to want to. It is way more moral to be a good person because you know it is the right thing to do then because you are afraid of invisible man in the sky..

@hmghosthost But I am not closed minded, if they find absolute proof of a God then I would believe, but if it was the god of the Christian Bible I would not worship him, I would rather burn in Hell then worship a sexist, murdering, warmongering, rapist ordering, Megalomaniac who is so vain and petty he needs his ego stroked. And who forces worship by threatening eternal torture just for not believing in him when he gave us a brain and then to punish us for thinking rationally, what an evil god.

@hmghosthost I don't believe in Heaven or God and I believe the Bible is a collection of myths taken from dozens of cultures over thousands of years. I trust in Cosmology to say how planets to say how planets were formed, Abiogenis to tell us how life started on earth and evolution to explain our development over billions of years, I trust the biological mapping of our brains which tell me that once it is dead we will have no consciousness and therefore no soul, I don't want to live forever.

Good deeds don't buy you salvation. Jesus said, "I am the Way - no one comes to the Father BUT BY ME". You can't earn heaven, salv ation is by faith in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus. Good deeds performed by someone without faith is as usless as a gold ring in the nose of a swine, therefore Billy is wasting his time.

Being an Atheist Agnostic is as oxymoron as being a Muslim Jew or a Communist Capitalist.
Why does she bother to have anyone on her show? Brian is reasonably polite, has a few moments being polemic and Laura never lets this guy finish.
