Hauppauge HD PVR Quality Test

Watch in HD. This clip was recorded from an Xbox 360 console through Component and Digital Optical 5.1 Audio, in 720p High Definition. It is purely a quality test, so don't comment on the gameplay at all, because it wasn't even me playing, the clip was sent to me on another site so I could do the quality test.

ahhhh. its either you go cheap and dont play in hd or go expensive and play in hd. i think ill go cheap

@JaKeRoCks742 This has nothing t do with playing in HD, it has to do with recording in HD. I happened to have some money at the time, so I bought this. I'm a real quality buff and I was tired of my old SD capture card with it's less-than-stellar quality. You can still play in HD without this card, you just need an HD-capable display and the HD cables for the console.

@tryandbecome: I ca't seem to find it on Newegg anymore, the only place I looked other than that was the official site and it's still $249.99 there. I'm sure you could find it on eBay for cheaper though.

how do you work it with the optical? ps3 to pvr or what cuz then you can hear out of the tv

@RagedProductions I assume you meant can't hear out the TV, and I'm not recording on a PS3, I'm recording on the Xbox 360. The analog audio outputs don't stop working when you plug in the optical, so I just do analog to my speakers and optical to my PVR, but if I had an optical sound system, there is a fiber optic out plug on the PVR box.

Does it always have to be in HD to look amazing or can you buy something to record it in HQ to look better then this in normal view?
