I'll risk sounding cliché but a diesel engine sounds terrible even in a LMP1. Perhaps even more than the sound of a diesel engine in your random daily hatchback.

@TheColinChapman no they lost because they put the dry tire on when it was raining badly, and they simply slide off the track multiple times during the final hour, 908 is a very fast car but it is manege by a team who make dumb decisions all the time, thats why they always lose against the Audi's

Great video, but Villeneuve was the disappointment oft the 2008 Le Mans race. The Peugeot had been faster than the Audi, and Villeneuve's car was the only 908 to run flawlessly. But Jacques on several occasions lost time in Traffic, sometimes 5 to 10 seconds per lap. In the end, he missed Allan McNish's car after 24 hours by a minute(!). Bruno Famin later was cited - he did not say "We lost to Audi", he said "We lost to Allan McNish." Jacques simply was too slow.

nice vid. But I must say them diesels sound like a rusty old vacuumpump. Stil prefer the petrol engine sound :)
