Mongolian Radio 4830 kHz signing on with National Anthem

Mongolian Radio from Ulaanbaatar on shortwave 4830 kHz signing on with the interval signal and the national anthem. Received in Germany on 22 May 2010 at 22:00 UTC using my Lextronix Etón E5 portable world band receiver with built-in telescopic whip antenna.

Unfortunately, the signal from the 10 kW transmitter at Altay was very weak that day. I tried to get a better recording the following nights but without luck yet.

Due to severe local interference inside my house, I had to go outdoors for this catch.

hello friend how are you, like me know that use antennas for shortwave DX, if you use any balun, antenna tuner or active antennas, I would like to know because the antenna is not much. and you call a whip antenna?, greetings.

@rodriampuero Hi, I used just the radio's built-in telescopic antenna (whip) for this reception. The Eton E5 is very sensitive with its own antenna.

@djoker1209 Shortwave radio can be received around the world due to reflection in the ionosphere (upper part of Earth atmosphere).

@MARKGM20877 Hi Mark, thanks for your comment! At the moment, they seem to be off the air. I tried to get a better recording the following days but heard nothing since the beginning of June, even when the conditions towards Asia were good. Hope they will return soon...
