The Holland Boys Choir (formerly known as the Stadsknapenkoor Elburg) was formed in 1984 by Pieter Jan Leusink (still the conductor), bringing the English choral tradition to the Netherlands. Their home is in the medieval St Nicholas Chuch in the small Dutch city of Elburg. The future of the choir is in doubt, since there are dwindling numbers of concert-grade choristers, due to decreased support from schools and increased time pressures on parents and boys.
