I thoroughly agreed with your first statement, however i strongly disagree with you here.

Animals are PRIVATE PROPERTY.

An individual is free to love who or what the individual desires.

Quite frankly I have had pets that I have loved more than some humans.

I don't understand when did I say pets were not private property?

People are free to love whatever they wish. Just as I am free to think that humanity is out of touch with fellow human beings by demonstrating more empathy for animals than people.

For example more people were outraged at the murder of a puppy by a soldier in Iraq than the murder of thousands people. Or the mounting deaths due to Iraq occupation on both sides.

Oddly enough, I just saw this story on MSNBC yesterday and thought it happened recently. The mayor filed a lawsuit against the sheriff's dept.

The question in my mind is, how many other innocent people have had their homes raided by police and their pets shot that will never be heard ab out because they're just citizens and not elected officials.

Maybe if people sent drugs to all of our politicians like this, they would understand the cruelty and obsurdness of the war on drugs. A scared police officer accidentally shot a baby in a raid recently as well. When will they FUCKING learn. I've seriously about been in tears over this issue before. TYRANNICAL IS THE WORD WE ARE LOOKING FOR!!

I wonder if this Mayor gets it now that the Drug war is causing police to be out of control. That laws against marijuana are giving authorities full license to shoot first and ask questions later.
