@shinnecockwarrior Mine is a 2000 LS 4x4 with the automatic transmission. I would suggest and of the second generation which is from 1998 - 2004. Starting in 2000 I beleive they redid the headlights and grille on the second gen making it a bit sleeker. The 2002 - 2004 have a 250hp 3.5L option which is what I would love to swap into mine at some point, but the 205hp 3.2L is fine for now.
@shinnecockwarrior Mine has been thrown from rock to rock and gone through some intense off road areas and gone through water deeper than the tires are high, taken me across the country, hauled dirt bike trailers numerous times, and it still goes to school with me every day with absolutely no issues. Only things it has needed is a fuel sender which is an incredibly common rodeo thing, and ball joints which is just from wear and tear.
@DirtbikeGuy2009 i read that about the rodeo and the isuzu trooper as well, but it also seems they are not dependable according to the on line reviews. is that true or are you one of the lucky ones with yours?
I miss my rodeo ):

@shinnecockwarrior absolutely love mine, and its off road capability (at least the 4x4 version) is phenomenal.
