Thanks for the kudos. You're right about the INS-1 flickering here, this was right after initial assembly. I have since changed the current limiting resistor so that the current to the INS-1 is right on .5ma spec. Has been running now about 6 weeks and no more flicker!

I really like the look of this clock, though I can see that the INS-1 tube in the front is flickering, just like the ones I used on one of my clocks.
I tried running one with a 1 megohm resistor and it lasted several weeks before it started flickering.
