The tape delay broadcase of Late Night in San Antonio from WOAI TV is not in HD. This is unexcusable and must be fixed as people who pay for HD must have the full Conan experience. Emails to NBC and WOAI have done nothing! Please help Conan.

  • don't have HD, but it's Time Warner that rips you off.

you really need Dish Network. as for WOAI...why bother.

  • Time Warner can be a pain sometimes. It was not Time Warner that was causing the problem however, it was local affiliate WOAI TV. I had someone from Late Night contact them. It was a real nice gentleman by the name of Todd Blass. Mr. Blass is Conan's assistant, he helped all of us a great deal by telling WOAI to get their stuff together, WOAI said it was a equipment problem. Everyone in SA can thank Todd Blass that Conan is back in HD, I'm leaving the video up though, just to make sure!

  • Plus if this idiot cared about HD he would of gotten a HD CRT set as until OLED or SED monitors hi the market they are the best thing out there in terms of picture quality.

Once again this idiot is whining over a lack of inferior HD for a show that doesn't even benefit from HD.

  • @ManicMonkeyJ Exactly...its like oh my god, the world is ending....ahhhhh!!!! lol.

  • @orbfile

So essentially you were replaced by a robot and quality suffered. That seems to be happening alot these days. :(

  • Oh mai god Conan isn't in HD! Someone call the whambulance!

  • Oh dear, sweet lord...its only freaking tv people. Theres still homeless out there.

  • I've noticed numerous problems with late-night HD shows on WOAI (NBC San Antonio). Sometimes pink video, or yellow (with audio), or lately they've nixed Fallon's HD broadcast in favor of a nasty upscale. What the hell is going on?

This is all via Dish Network (no personal antenna problems). Other stations/local affiliates seem to have no problem with HD boradcasts...

  • "This is unexcusable and must be fixed..."

No, "unexcusable" is inexcusable and must be fixed. Shouldn't have to take a foreigner from the other side of the planet to point this out, but Americans can't seem to use their own language. Although, practically no tax money goes towards education. If you want to learn something over there, you'd better cough up a huge wad of cash for the already infinitely rich and powerful leaders. And that's one of thousands of reasons why corruption increases.

  • it's not up to your local station to broadcast Conan in HD it's NBC job . remember your watching a national broadcast not a local broadcast . check your tv settings or channel ! for example Cablevision here in NY NBC is channel 4 which is the standard definition channel 704 is NBC 4 HD ! so again check your channels

  • ...and one last comment.........I wrote to WOAI as well....I haven't been watching Fallon as much as I should, so I haven't noticed if they still don't change the output settings or not.

  • Also.....SNL is too important of a show for ratings, so someone is paid to stay and man that show and switch between SD and HD at the commercials. You'd think that they would make a system that would automatically adjust this....and they have, but that has to be programmed for every show. You try telling a programmer that they have to input tons of data for each and every program they run. That's what an MC operator is paid to do.
