@largegrainsofsalt I consider myself a Christian and I dont oppose gay marriage. Christianity is much more than just about sex. I would perhaps be better if christians focus on the basis of Jesus teachings, like how to treat out fellow man, than being so obcessed about sex.

Look at Haiti after the earthquake, major competition for food and water and no state to supply it for them, don't they have it good in Haiti, starving and dying for pathetic illnesses. =)

America didn't make education a State responsibility, it always was from the beginning. In the US States have most of the power, the fed Gov operates with powers granted to them by States, not the other way

@genie0390 Making a education a state responsibility creates competition between the states, a competition children will lose, and frankly noone will win.

Education is NOT a competition its a straight up matter of everyone needing one.

Granted federal educational programs have not been the best, not in the US at least, and a LOT of money has been wasted by the government on it. It NEEDS to improve, no doubt, but that doesnt mean its ideologically wrong, its just a challenge.
