They got it right so many times, but wrong so many other times. See how it was SUPPOSED to be.

  • Yea, I hadn't seen too much from 2007. Blonksy was the best of a 'meh' lot really.

Streep wins my supporting award of 79 for Kramer VS Kramer and was this-close to winning 82 for Sophie's Choice, but ultimately, it's Lange who impressed me more.

  • to not have meryl for sophies choice makes no sense to me ever!!

  • Ms Hayward felt her I'll Cry Tomorrow was her best work, pleased you named Susan vs. Magnani for Rose Tatoo. Susan did win and should ha for I Want To Live, also think she should have won for her brilliant Smash Up. Jean Arthur's The More The Merrier should have won that great star an Oscar. Hepburn, Long Day's Journey, etc should have won vs. Bancroft and Kate's award for Guess Who's Coming To Dinner deserved as Kate did more with her eyes than some actresses do with 5 pages of dialogue.

  • I hate when people say this is the "way it should have been".It's so freakin pompous. It's only subjective this is YOUR OPINION.Stop trying to influence people because you know what?I disagree with many of your choices!

  • @MissLizaMay: I also like her there. And her chemistry with McQueen is great.

  • i really enjoyed this a lot! well done!

however i have a few problems:

nikki blonsky over Marion Cotillard? no

gwyneth paltrow over Cate Blanchett? no

Grace Kelly over Judy Garland? NO

and personally i feel that kate winslet's work in "The Reader" was light years ahead of "Revolutionary Road"

    Leo OWNED that movie

and also i think the toughest year on here would be Jessica Lange in "Frances" and Meryl Streep in "Sophie's Choice"

that is the only year i think could warrant a tie.

  • @brushstrokesrock I'm not nuts about Splendor, but she definately should have won for "Love With the Proper Stranger."

  • @thanth11 I totally agree that Gillian should have at least been nominated - and Laura Linney was absolutely robbed of Best Supporting Actress that year.
