Eastern Box Turtle Hatchlings

Gardening can yield some unusual crops. A resident of Paine Hollow in South Wellfleet was clearing the plantings around her cottage when she discovered a hole in the mulch covered bed. At the bottom, four perfectly healthy, but grumpy Eastern box turtle hatchlings were hunkered down for an overcast and sprinkly September day. They seem small ... that is, until you compare them to diamondback terrapin hatchlings that emerged a short distance away.

@AeroAsh87 yes you can i have two easturn box turtles and they had some eggs and when they hatched there were two three toad box turtles eavin my vet said i had two easturn box turtles and the babys were three toad box turtles.

@DISAPEAR1 That's impossible I just have to say. You can't mate 2 Eastern Box Turtles and then have a 3 toed box turtle. One of the Easterns must have been a three toed to make a three toed box turtle hatchling. If an Eastern and a three toed box turtle mate, they are going to have a baby called a Hybrid. You can't have 2 turtles in the same species mate to make a completely different species. That's impossible.

@DISAPEAR1 woah thats really bizzare. o have mated my ornate several time and still for some reason i dont have any eggs.... :(

@fallentoturtle yes but i had 21 eastern box turtles and ther was one thing very rare i had a turtle named chocolate and a turtle named j-bo well they mated and i had 6 hatchligs and 1 of them turned out to be a three toed box turtle but how did that happen with to eastern box turtles

is it possible to breed a ornate box turtle and an eastern box turte together????
