@dougiefreshny ... Lincoln ended slavery. Blacks weren't really free until teh sixties, thanks to Jim Crow laws, the KKK, lynchings, and unspeakable brutalities and discrimination. Blacks just went from property slaves to legal slaves after Lincoln. Johnson opened the real doors for black people.
