Yeah, you did buy machete. I'll have to add you into the crdeits when I make them fancier with Final Cut Studio!
Blood was a recipe I found online--corn starch, corn syrup, red blue yellow and green food coloring, cocoa powder, warm water, a few other things. It was a good recipe.
Crash was my friend Mike's car. Happened while we were filming. And I'm opportunistic. :D
