Women on age 30s has 10 % possibility to get pregnance in each month, and 70 - 75% possibility to get pregnance within one year trying. And on the age 40s, the chance drop to less than 5% each month and 40-50% within one year.

Eventhough the change is small, but there are common thing that you could try to improve your chance of pregnancy when, or even before, you decide to have a child.

The big factors that affect the chance of pregnancy are stress and health. This applies to both man and women.

You should maintain a life style that reduces stress. Exercise regularly and have a healthy diet. Choose the best daily diet and ample vegetables and fruits.

Avoid unhealthy activities, such as smooking, alcohol, and illegal drugs. Women who smoke at age 40 will face less than 40% of chance of pregnancy within one year and man who smoke has been found to reduce his sperm count.

Smoking, alcohol and illegal drugs are known to damage the fetus after it is conceived.

Woman should know her menstrual cycles and learn how to calculate the ovulation dates. If you have irregular menstrual cycles, you can use temperature chart or monitor your cervical mucus discharge to help determining the ovulation date.

Discuss with your doctor if you should consume prescription drugs. Because some drugs can affect sperms.

The more sperm you have the more chance of conceiving. Hot spa, tight underwear, and frequent ejaculation can reduce sperm count.
