Teachers need to be trained and immersed in technology themselves in order to integrate it with "best practices" of teaching methods and approaches. It's not automatic by putting the tools in their hands.

And, I would add, it starts with a culture of learning, not testing. Teachers who are learners with technology can model effective learning for their students.

Don't let this video testimony lead you to believe it's all about technology. It's great teachers using technology that makes a difference. it begins with great teachers, not great technology.

I agree that great teachers helped this young man become successful. However, technology is the tool that enabled him to become an active participant in the educational process.
