I hate Texas Music as it is mostly steel guitar and no honky tonk country piano! Some of the Texas music really does not sound country, more like hill billy crap. Nothing like good ol' Merle Haggard, George Jones, and Moe Bandy. Charlie Rich had great classic honky tonk country piano in his songs, no Texas music artist will have any part of honky tonk country piano, just steel guitar. I am not against steel guitar, but that is mostly what you hear is steel guitar and no honky tonk country piano!

@joeytwosubs OMG Did you speak words of GOLD.I enjoy some of the new stuff.But the Older stars were the MASTERS.Im 52 and I was raised on this music.However I am carrying on the tradition.My 7 year old daughter knows ALL these old songs and she loves the old singers.There are 3 stations around here that play strictly old country TRUE COUNTRY.They call them the classics,I call the just what they are COUNTRY MUSIC...
